Designing a GIS Environment to Support Real-Time Emergency Management

Emergency management organizations demand a lot of their GIS platforms. Creating GIS solutions that can perform during highly dynamic and unpredictable events can be challenging. Using cloud technology, Esri's Web Application Builder (Dev Edition), and real-time data processing tools like GeoEvent Server gives emergency management organizations the ability to respond and adapt rapidly to changing events when it matters most. This same platform is currently used by Philadelphia's Office of Emergency Management to support 24/7 emergency management operations and has also been used to support several high profile special events like the 2016 Democratic National Convention and more recently the 2018 Superbowl parade.
