When performing a spatial search we usually look for one type of object (an address search or a parcel search), so what happens if we're looking for all relevant spatial objects at a point of interest? This talk will discuss a framework for querying a spatial infrastructure across all available GIS layers in a database. This framework includes the creation of a GIS layer ontology, some data mining techniques to examine the relationships between layers, and an an open source-based interface to make this technology accessible to the average citizen.
